Heard this on the current. I want to get the album when it is easily available.

"Cyberpunk" Music
I read about this on reddit. There was an AMA about an "old school hacker" from the 80's. I was unable to find any whole songs on youtube, so here is the closest thing I could find. This is Mondo Vanilli. It is strangely intriguing. Enjoy.

I've posted this to facebook and google+, so I may as well post it here as well. I absolutely love this song. This video is amazing. Tally Hall rocks my world.

In Da Balkan Style - Ahilea
Ahilea was one of the last guys my dad introduced me to before he died. It is always a great go-to music. I've yet to find anyone that hasn't found it oddly entertaining. I need to see if Ahilea has more music out. I only have one album.

Tally Hall, Speak, Casey Shea - The Beatles "All Together Now"
I waited and waited for Tally Hall to sing Banana Man last night at their concert. They didn't. So I filmed this. Turned out alright.
After seeing Tally Hall live, I have a new appreciation for their music. I certainly like their new album a whole lot more. I didn't realize how dynamic a lot of the songs are. They go from "quiet" to "wall of sound" several times a song. Tally Hall performed "Greener" at this show, which I was never really a fan of. Live, it blew me away. I hope they tour again so that this won't be my only Tally Hall experience (and hopefully, I can see them perform Banana Man or at least Ruler of Everything...).

Tally Hall - Turn the Lights Off
Now for my favorite new Tally Hall song, Turn the Lights Off. This is wonky rock.

Tally Hall - &
Today, songs from the new album. "&" was the first song I heard from Good and Evil. I like it a lot. It captures a lot of what I liked about Tally Hall previously. I wouldn't define many of the other songs "wonky rock." Maybe they're reaching out to new audiences. Maybe they're growing up. Whatever the case, Good and Evil is very late-Beatles esque. Some of the melodies come straight out of late Beatles records. I'm too lazy to note the exacts, but if you are a Beatles fan and you've listened to Good and Evil, I'm sure you know what I mean.

Tally Hall - Good Day
Tally Hall has been around since 2002. This song, "Good Day," is the first song on their Demo CD and their first official release "Marvin's Marvelous Mechanical Museum." It won Andrew Horowitz the 2004 BMI Music Foundation's John Lennon Scholarship Award. This video was also "featured" on youtube (not that that means much any more).

Tally Hall - Banana Man
In honor of (finally) being able to see Tally Hall in concert, I'm going to be posting some of their music videos this week.
Here's the ultimate introduction to Tally Hall (and what got me hooked on them), Banana man.

The Strokes - Taken For A Fool
I think this is my favorite song on the new Stokes Album, Angles.
See live video below!
Sister, visit us while you still can,
Sister, don't you forget my number, on the door.
You've got something and it's so good to see,
Something wonderful that I could not be.
Everybody hanging on for their lives,
But you can't help them 'cos you don't have the time.
I know, everyone goes any damn place they like.
I hope this goes over well, on the toxic radio. Yeah.
You get taken all the time for a fool.
I don't know why.
You're so gullible but I don't mind.
That's not the problem.
And I don't need anyone with me right now.
Monday, Tuesday is my weekend.
You get taken for a fool all the time.
I don't know why.
Line 1
I can't let you do those things when it means,
It's so early I don't want to wake up.
I wish I left you 'cos we never grew up.
Mama, it feels like just yesterday.
Mama, don't you forget my number
I don't want to be the one at the door.
I know, everyone goes any damn place they choose.
And I hope everyone well on the toxic radio.
Jewish, in the ghetto, not afraid of anything.
Except that, on anything else, that could maybe hurt the most. Yeah.
You get taken all the time for a fool.
I don't know why.
You're so gullible but I don't mind.
That's not the problem.
And I don't need anyone with me right now.

Beruit - Elephant Gun
Beruit keeps coming up on my Pandora playlists. The vocalist sounds a lot like Andrew Bird. I like it.
If I was young, I'd flee this town
I'd bury my dreams underground
As did I, we drink to die, we drink tonight
Far from home, elephant gun
Let's take them down one by one
We'll lay it down, it's not been found, it's not around
Let the seasons begin - it rolls right on
Let the seasons begin - take the big game down
Let the seasons begin - it rolls right on
Let the seasons begin - take the big game down
And it rips through the silence of our camp at night
And it rips through the night
And it rips through the silence of our camp at night
And it rips through the silence, all that is left is all that I hide
If I was young, I'd flee this town
I'd bury my dreams underground
As did I, we drink to die, we drink tonight
Far from home, elephant gun
Let's take them down one by one
We'll lay it down, it's not been found, it's not around
